While we’re in a time of crisis, it’s crucial to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. But now is also a key opportunity to join together as much as we can to fight for justice for health care workers who are on the frontlines of this pandemic around the clock, doing everything in their power to protect the health and safety of all of us.
There’s a bill in Congress right now that would direct the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to enact an Emergency Temporary Standard to ensure that measures are taken to protect health care workers, and therefore patients and the public, against the spread of coronavirus. This is crucial to helping keep our nurses safe — and we need your help to make sure it gets passed now.
The most important thing you can do right now is make a call to Congress. Ask your representative to vote YES on H.R. 6139, the COVID-19 Worker Protection Act of 2020, and demand that it be included in the next COVID-19 omnibus bill.

If this bill doesn’t get passed, nurses across the country will be at an even higher risk of contracting COVID-19 — solely because Congress refused to act. We need to push harder than ever to pressure individual members of Congress to pass this critical bill, hearing from constituents like you is what is going to get this done.
We are only going to get through this health disaster if we stick together and care for one another. By spending just a few minutes calling your representative, you could help protect tens of thousands of nurses and health care workers across the country who need your support.
