John,

I wanted to check in with you because I know there is a lot of uncertainty. The coronavirus pandemic has greatly changed Americans’ daily routines and our campaign is adapting to this ever-changing situation.

Right now, my teams are working remotely and we have asked our wonderful volunteers to stay home and safe. I’m working remotely, my kids are home from school, and we’re practicing social distancing.

For our campaign, this has meant some important changes in the way we do business:

→ We’ve closed our field office and canceled phone banks for the foreseeable future

→ Our entire campaign staff has been instructed to work remotely and properly distance themselves

→ We’ve canceled all in-person fundraising events for the next several months

→ We’ve moved our organizing from in-person to online with the goal of mitigating risk but maintaining a dialogue with voters

I also want to thank our supporters and volunteers who are hospital staff, first responders, grocery store employees, community pharmacists, lab technicians, and everyone else on the front lines of this crisis. You are true heroes, and we will not forget your dedication to the health and safety of our neighbors during these trying times. I will continue to fight to make sure you have the resources you need to complete your mission.

This is an unprecedented moment, John. My team and I are working hard to make sure we keep everyone updated on the latest developments. Most importantly, we’re working together even while we’re physically apart during this time.

Please do your best to stay away from large crowds, practice social distancing, and check-in with your friends and family by calling or video chatting.
