This is a critical moment in our efforts to protect animals. Election Year 2024 is here. Before long, all eyes will turn to the upcoming election, giving us just a small window to push animal protection measures until the end of the current Congress.
We’re fighting for the Puppy Protection Act to help stop abuse in puppy mills, the Humane Cosmetics Act to end animal testing for cosmetics, the Safeguard America’s Equines (SAFE) Act to halt the horse slaughter pipeline, the Better CARE for Animals Act to provide tools for stronger enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act, to ensure dangerous bills like the Ending Agriculture Trade Suppression (EATS) Act—or anything like it—aren’t passed and many more policies to end suffering for all animals. But time is running out.
