Hi John,

The election year is heating up, but I actually want to take a moment and slow down.

I was reflecting on my career in Congress and looking back through some past photos that I would love to share with you.

Here's a photo from two days before Election Day in 2012. I got into politics to fight for children, families, and workers and 10 years later, that hasn't changed.

This is a photo from 2016 while I was parading in Lake Stevens! A lot was on the line during that election cycle but the hard work we put together made our movement strong.

As you can probably tell from the mask, this was from 2020. The pandemic struck Washington state hard but we were able to pull through as a community to fight against it together.

Now, as we face another consequential election year, I'm humbled by the belief and support you have shown me. This journey has definitely not been easy but the help you've given me has always powered me forward.
