Friend, I want to give you an update about what's happening with our campaign.

Our concern first and foremost is for the health and safety of everyone in TX-25 and the surrounding communities. Therefore, we've made the decision to cancel all in-person fundraisers and field events for the foreseeable future.

But our campaign is pushing ahead. The crisis we are facing has put on full display the stark inequities in our country -- and the crisis of leadership that we face. Congress' priorities must be people -- and we have the opportunity to ensure that we can fight for universal healthcare, better wages, paid sick leave, and workers' rights.

As we move forward and adjust to the new realities of campaigning, we're going to be relying heavily on emails like this one to fund our operations -- from reaching every new voter in every county in the district with digital ads, to funding the mail it will take to get voter registration forms out to every unregistered Democratic voter in the district.

We have a new round of ads going up this week, and need to raise $7,500 to push them as wide as possible. Can you pitch in to help us meet our goal by Friday?

We've said from the very beginning that we'd win by transforming the electorate and increasing turnout. The huge turnout surge we saw in our primary proved that is possible. It is critical that we seize that momentum, even if we can’t knock on doors at the moment.

The more people we reach with our message, the more voices we'll add to the democratic process.

So this week's push -- the first of many -- matters a lot. I'm asking for your help in this moment because supporters like you are what power this campaign.
