When Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, they weaponized sexual violence by gang raping women, sexually assaulting men and women, mutilating women's bodies, cutting babies out of wombs while the mother’s mouth was taped shut and they used box cutters to slice off their breasts. They burned infants alive and passed around the body parts of women like a souvenir. Witnesses have shared that at the now infamous the Nova Music Festival, at least 30 women were sexually assaulted by Hamas and left dead with signs of horrific abuse in the genital area. We know this is the tip of the iceberg because we're only hearing from witnesses. There are still more than 130 hostages that need to be brought home, yet the pressure is growing every day from the international community who wants Israel to end this war quickly. Who could fathom such brutality?
Some will never come home…and others may never heal. The Genesis 123 Foundation is doing our part by providing IDF soldiers with supplies and combat gear, but the need is greater than what we can provide alone. We can’t afford to let Israel’s soldiers and security forces be caught flat-footed because they don’t have the supplies to protect themselves as they fight to free the remaining hostages and liberate Gaza from the terror threat. And just as important, we need to increase our PTSD counseling for the victims of Hamas’ terror and torture. What these victims have experienced is horrific. And we know the mental scars will last much longer than any physical wounds. You and I know this war is just. It is moral. Sadly, it is also necessary.
