John,
Update: Last week, the Biden administration AGAIN bypassed Congress to send weapons to the Israeli military while it commits war crimes and genocide. Last week’s sale was worth more than $147 million.
And Biden still wants Congress to send $14 billion U.S. taxpayer dollars to Israel’s military, without any conditions on upholding human rights.
Biden and leaders in his administration can’t legitimately claim that they’re pushing the Israeli government to protect Palestinians when they’re continually vetoing and watering down UN resolutions, and sending more weapons to Israel’s military.
Add your name and demand President Biden call for a permanent ceasefire, protect human rights, and stop sending U.S. bombs and weapons for war crimes.
The American people overwhelmingly want a ceasefire, and they don’t want our tax dollars funding ethnic cleansing.
Even as there is growing international outcry over the genocide that Israel’s government is perpetrating against the Palestinian people, the U.S. government continues to send more weapons of war to Israel, which has dropped more than 22,000 U.S.-provided bombs on Gaza, killing more than 20,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
UNICEF called Gaza “the most dangerous place in the world to be a child.”
UNICEF’s Executive Director said: “Access to sufficient amounts of clean water is a matter of life and death, and children in Gaza have barely a drop to drink.” She blamed “the constant bombing, along with the restrictions on materials and fuel allowed into the territory.”
Health organizations are now warning that more Palestinians in Gaza may die from dehydration, hunger, and disease than from the bombing. Our government has the power to stop all of this!
Sign now to demand President Biden call for a permanent ceasefire and protect human rights—including the right to water, food, healthcare, housing, and electricity.
Achieving a just and lasting peace—where Israelis and Palestinians have equal rights and freedoms, and where no person lives in fear for their safety—requires not only a ceasefire but also ending the blockade, occupation, and dehumanizing system of apartheid.
Thank you for being part of our growing movement for peace and equality.
In solidarity,
Rashida
