We are sad to share with you
that Pursuing Justice 2020 will no longer take place as an in-person
gathering. Instead, we will gather together online.
Dear Friend,
Due to the evolving situation with COVID-19 and the CDC’s
recent recommendation against any large gatherings for the next 8
weeks, Pursuing Justice 2020 will no longer be taking place as an
in-person gathering.
So much dreaming and planning — from over a hundred leaders,
partners, and staff — has gone into creating a powerful gathering for
our movement. We honor all of this labor and are sad that we won’t be
able to see it all come together in person.
We know that the opportunity to learn and act together in
community is still needed, and are looking forward to doing so in a
virtual gathering. While this is a time of great uncertainty
for all of us, we know that our movement for justice is more important
than ever and we are hopeful about what we can accomplish together
online.
As we think individually and collectively about the impacts of
COVID-19, we are reminded that all of our fates are intertwined.
None of us are free until all of us are free; none of us are
safe until all of us are safe. We will continue to hold our
government accountable, follow the leadership of directly impacted
communities, and fight for policies that ensure everyone has access to
the care and needs they have during this crisis.
We are also feeling immense gratitude for everyone who has
shared our vision for this in-person gathering and contributed to its
planning so far.

calendar: We’re adapting the conference to be a
meaningful online experience for our movement. Stay tuned for more
information soon about what our online gathering will look like, when
it will take place, and how to sign up to be part of it. 👀 📆
Help support this
work: We have already spent a significant portion of
our conference budget to implement our vision for this gathering, and
we want to be able to pay our conference vendors who are reliant on
our business for their income — particularly during a time when many
other events are also being cancelled and we don’t know what’s
ahead.
