When we listen to experts, we save lives. When we undermine science, we put our families, our country, and our economy at risk.
Unfortunately, the EPA is trying to rush through an ill-conceived and dangerous proposal to censor the science that guides public health protections and keeps Americans safe.
Take action today, and demand they walk back this unlawful attack on life-saving health science.
Here are the details:
EPA’s original “Censored Science” proposal, released nearly 2 years ago, would bar the agency from relying on critical research when making decisions around protecting human health and the environment.
Now, they’ve released a “supplemental notice” that widens the reach of this dangerous action. It ignores well-established, existing procedures for vetting scientific research and fundamentally fails to identify a problem needing to be solved — or any reason for this attack on science.
They are advancing this attack when the news is focused on a crisis, and giving the American public and top public health experts who are currently focused on other problems only 30 days to weigh in.
Join us in demanding they delay this proposal until after we have dealt with the national health emergency that is imminently threatening thousands of lives — and give Americans a reasonable amount of time to speak out.
Thank you for standing with us,
Heather Shelby
