Hi John,
I hope you had a great time ringing in the new year with your loved ones, but I couldn't start 2024 without saying thank you.
Thank you, not only for helping me and my team reach our final fundraising goal of 2023, but for standing alongside me through what was both an incredible and challenging year.
|
Thanks to your support, and support from folks across the community, my team and I are in a strong place to continue getting the word out about my plan for change.
I'm running to represent Michigan's 10th District in Congress and finally put the needs of our community first.
In 2021, my son survived a mass shooting at his school. For me, just for those few seconds of not knowing if he was okay… I don't want any other parent or family member or child to ever have to go through that.
But the sad reality is that, even after the tragedy that rocked our community, John James has continued to sell his vote to the highest bidder.
The numbers don't lie – gun groups have given John James over half a million in campaign contributions and outside spending over the course of his career.
John, if we're finally going to address the gun violence issue in our country, it's not going to be while an anti-safety candidate is selling us out in DC.
I'm ready to be the pro-safety voice we need, but I'm reaching out to ask for your continued support. Please consider chipping in $15, $35 or $50 today to support my people-first campaign >>

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.
The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.
Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.
Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.
She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
