Washington Republicans,

- Have you heard about Bob Ferguson's "fishy Fergie check" blunder?

- Or, about Jay Inslee's dismissal of reality when it comes to his cap-and-trade carbon tax scheme?

- Or, about Sec. of State Steve Hobbs contracting with a UK based AI firm to monitor the free speech of high-profile Republicans on social media?

One-party rule in Olympia has created a long series of blunders and abuses by our state government, and the stories are growing.

Next Monday, the 2024 legislative session will begin in Olympia. Democrats will have the same playbook of tax-and-spend working people's paychecks, restrict individual freedoms, and consolidate power within the state government.

There is no limit to how radical Democrats in Olympia will be in their policy-making. There are critical and tough fights ahead for us over the next couple of months.

But there are also some great positives to keep an eye on. The Sec. of State's office has 40 days, starting from December 29, 2023, to officially certify the six commonsense initiatives. Democrats are already in panic mode over what to do with these initiatives once they are certified for the legislature.

We have also already received a small victory for our communication pushback efforts by stopping some Democrat pre-filed bills. In one bill, Democrats wanted to make it a $10,000 fine, plus jail time, for using gas-powered leaf-blowers and lawn-mowers - that will be the smallest of our concerns moving forward.

It will take all of us working together, working in coordination, to successfully lobby Olympia and raise awareness to voters across our state. Our WAGOP team and I will be providing constant legislative updates through our communication platforms that include: emails, weekly YouTube live videos on Tuesdays, with daily posts occurring on our social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter.

Please make sure to click on the red buttons below and follow @WAGOP on all of these platforms to stay informed, stay involved, and help us spread the word.
