On behalf of all of us at GLAAD, thank you!
Dear Friend,

We made it through 2023, and this holiday season, together we raised $72,518 to support our work! 441 members of our community invested in the ongoing fight against LGBTQ hatred and misinformation.

With more than 500 anti-LGBTQ bills introduced last year alone and a massive uptick in misinformation and hatred, 2023 was a hard year for all of us.

But this community gives us hope for a brighter future. From educating journalists on how to tell our stories… to coaching major studios… to tracking and calling out representation gaps… to researching and reporting on the state of LGBTQ acceptance, HIV stigma, social media safety, studio responsibility… GLAAD can make transformative impact with your support.

There's still work to be done. You can commit to fighting LGBTQ hatred and misinformation in your own communities:
Learn even more. Follow LGBTQ stories in the news from sources you know you can trust (like GLAAD!), read up on LGBTQ history, and get to know your neighbors of all backgrounds.

Share your love for the LGBTQ community. Hang a Pride flag, attend a drag show (tip your drag artists!), and support your local LGBTQ-owned businesses.

Stop it before it spreads. Fact check and report misinformation you see on social media, denounce hatred when you hear it, and when in doubt, block and move on — engagement is encouragement.
And if you missed your opportunity to donate, it's never too late to give!

On behalf of all of us here at GLAAD, thank you! Whether you're a member of the LGBTQ community or an ally, you are a part of the GLAAD community and we're honored to have you.

— The GLAAD Team

P.S. We won an Emmy together! Tune into the Emmys on January 15th on Fox to watch our President & CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, accept the Governor's Award on behalf of all of us! This award honors profound, transformational, and long-lasting contributions to television. Friends like you have inspired LGBTQ visibility on TV for 40 years, and we would be honored if you inspired our acceptance speech too.
