Hi all,

I'm reaching out again with an update on the coronavirus pandemic here in South Carolina. There are currently 60 confirmed cases across the state, including 3 in Greenville County and 1 in Spartanburg County. We expect that there are probably many, many more unreported cases due to statewide testing shortages. Now more than ever we need to practice social distancing - stay home if you can and avoid public places where you might come into contact with large groups of people.

Governor Henry McMaster has declared a state of emergency here in South Carolina, in addition to shutting down schools across the state and ordering that restaurants and bars no longer offer dine-in service.

This is a difficult time for all of us - particularly those in the service industry that are losing their ability to earn a living. If you or somebody you know is in need of assistance, please email us at [email protected] and we will help in any way we can, whether that's connecting you with the right services or just chatting you through a lonely time. This is a time for the people of South Carolina to come together and help one another, and I encourage you to check on your friends and family and take care of each other.

Starting this week, we will be calling local seniors to check in on them and chat during what will be a scary and lonely next few weeks.
