District 6 Community Members and Neighbors,

Happy New Year to you - I hope you had a nice holiday season!

With each new year comes inevitable change in all of our lives. Some of us make goals around being healthier, making career changes or volunteering more – whatever your goals are this year, I wish you all the best. Every year around this time I enjoy taking a pause to focus on gratitude for the small things -- the ability to make change, to help others by serving and also for being able to spend time with family. Our sons are getting so big!

The special election for the open Hennepin County Commissioner seat is just 117 days away!

Politics and being a good community leader is about bringing people together in hope, possibility and a belief that tomorrow can be better than today. It's how I got involved with politics in the first place - walking in a parade with Roger Moe for Governor and phone banking for Wellstone for Senate as a teenager. Coming together to make positive change around issues in our communities.

I would like to personally invite you to join our people-driven campaign kick off next Thursday, January 11th from 6-8PM at Arneson Acres.

Please also consider hosting a gathering at your home! In the months and weeks ahead, our campaign wants to connect with as many residents as possible before April. If you would like to host a coffee, evening gathering or a zoom call please contact our campaign manager Cole to get a time scheduled at [email protected].
