Dear John,
I hope you will join us tomorrow, Friday, January 5, from 12-1 PM for our virtual Lunch and Learn: Communicating climate change | Dealing with misinformation .
REGISTER HERE [[link removed]]
Climate change has become increasingly real in the past few decades. In spite of hard evidence about the effects that climate change has on people’s daily lives, misinformation about the reality and impact of climate change is still too common. In this workshop, Judith E. Rosenbaum, Associate Professor of Media Studies at the University of Maine, will provide attendees with the tools to recognize and counter false claims about climate change. Attendees will learn about the various types of mis- and disinformation is, they will learn why misinformation spreads so quickly, and why so many people are quick to believe falsehoods about climate change, and they will learn how to recognize and address misinformation.
I hope to see you tomorrow,
Kathleen
