With the New Year, I’ve been thinking a lot about my goals for 2024 and what I hope to accomplish. So today I want to share my resolutions with you (and I’d love for you to share yours with me here.)
For many people, a New Year's resolution is something personal like “stop eating cookies every night after dinner” or “spend more time outdoors.” Now that I think of it, both of those would actually be great for me… But this year there’s a bit more at stake.
So after a lot of thought, here’s my resolution for 2024:
This year, I will dedicate my energy to fighting for my family, my district and our country. They say politics is personal, and this year with Donald Trump on the ballot, it truly is.
The future for my family and my community is genuinely on the line. Access to reproductive healthcare, a future for DREAMers, a functioning democracy (!) all are at stake.
And it’s my responsibility as a Democrat in elected office to work my heart out to fight back.
