Dear Neighbor, 

I'm reflecting on the accomplishments of 2023 and the work we will tackle in this new year. As your representative, it is an honor to serve you, and we’ve made a lot of progress on behalf of Los Angeles.

The heart of my work lies in serving you and all of our communities. 

In 2023, together with my team, we tackled 1,300+ constituent cases, from issues with expired passports or Permanent Resident Cards to helping with loans from the Small Business Administration (SBA). I also hosted multiple passport fairs to help travelers submit their documents, and a health resource fair to connect people directly with health providers and services.  

Through our work, my office collectively saved our neighbors a staggering $3.5 million in 2023, easing financial burdens and ensuring that hard-earned money stays where it belongs—in your pockets.  

We’ve also helped secure over $250 million in federal grants towards building our infrastructure and improving Los Angeles.

I’m proud to share that in 2023, I held a town hall every single month, whether it be on the phone, through a livestream, or in-person, to hear directly from you about what matters. I appreciate the nearly 18,000 of you who tuned in and look forward to continuing our conversations this year.
