I’m reaching out to thank everyone who supported us last month as we worked to our final quarterly fundraising goal of the year. 2023 presented a critical opportunity to build a strong base of grassroots support for pro-climate lawmakers ahead of this year’s elections, and thanks to you all, we did just that.
Now, with election year officially underway, things are going to start ramping up quickly.
The modern GOP has shown no sign of giving up their “climate hoax” rhetoric in 2024, and National Republicans have already directly announced they’re targeting at least 18 of our pro-climate lawmakers. Add in the very real chance of Trump being the GOP’s presidential candidate, and it’s clear we must be prepared to fight tooth and nail to defend our country’s climate progress in 2024.
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
