Justice Democrats

John,

We may have entered a new year, but the slaughter and starvation of Palestinians in Gaza did not end in 2023, and according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, it will go on “for many more months.”

This comes at the very same time that President Biden simultaneously said he wants Israel to “scale down” its military attacks on Gaza, while his administration bypassed Congress for a second time to send Israel nearly $150 million more in bombs and weapons to continue waging violence against a civilian population.

The hypocrisy is astounding. The President of the United States is not making genuine calls for peace and human rights when his administration is paying for the weapons Israel is using to target refugee camps, hospitals, residential buildings, and places of worship. In the words of Ilhan Omar, it is morally indefensible.

What’s even worse is that this week, Israeli officials are hitting back at Biden’s comments and making it clear that their intent is to clear Gaza of its Palestinian inhabitants so that Israelis may live therethat’s ethnic cleansing, plain and simple.

Progressive leaders like Ilhan, Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, and Summer Lee were the very first members of Congress to call for a ceasefire, and they’re continuing to hold our government’s feet to the fire as long as the Biden Administration funds the atrocities we’re witnessing.

It’s just one of many reasons we can’t afford to lose their seats in the U.S. House this year, and why we need your help right now:

Will you pitch in $3 or whatever you can afford to fuel Justice Democrats’ work to re-elect our Squad incumbents and keep up the fight for human rights for Palestinians?

Contribute $3

We cannot give up on the Palestinian people. It’s up to us to ensure we protect those in Congress with the moral clarity and courage to keep up this critical fight.

Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time.

There are other ways to make an impact in support of peace and equality in Israel and Palestine: please urge your member of Congress to support a ceasefire through Adalah Justice Project’s petition or by calling them using Jewish Voice for Peace’s dialer here. Your voice matters in this critical moment.
