Team — I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year’s with loved ones and friends.

2024 is here, and the coming weeks and months will have a huge impact on the future of our state and country.

Here in Georgia, the General Assembly’s session starts in less than a week.

My mission has always been to put Georgia families and consumers first, and we have some big items to deal with this year.

Most importantly, we need to lower costs and level the playing field in the courtroom, especially for our trucking industry. The status quo is a hidden tax on Georgia families, and lawsuit reform will shake things up and make Georgia an even better place to do business.

(We’ll have more on this during session.)

Not only that, it’s an election year.

We’re going to have important races up and down the ballot, and I plan to do my part to elect Republicans who’ll keep Georgia moving in the right direction… and who’ll put a check on DC’s nonsense.

If you supported my campaign with a donation in 2023, thank you for your support. It’s a real honor to have you on our team.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to give, less than a week before session — when we’ll be barred from fundraising — is a great opportunity. You can do so here.

Thank you for your continued support. Let’s continue delivering in 2024.

Commissioner John King got his start as a beat cop with the Atlanta Police Department. He worked various assignments, including Red Dog and Organized Crime, before joining the Doraville Police Department. Before becoming Chief of Police, he served as a Detective and Deputy Chief.

During his 17 years as Police Chief, Commissioner King tackled corruption, implemented community policing in at-risk neighborhoods, and cracked down on gang violence through early intervention programs at local schools.

In addition to his career in law enforcement, Commissioner King spent four decades serving in the U.S. Army National Guard — enlisting as a private and retiring as a major general.

He deployed to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan  — earning the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, El Salvador gold medal for achievement, meritorious service medals, and a NATO award along the way. Commissioner King retired from active duty in 2023.

As Georgia’s Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, Commissioner King has disrupted the status quo, put Georgia families first, and held the powerful accountable. He was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp in 2019 and elected to a full term in 2022, making him Georgia’s first Hispanic statewide elected official.
