I want to extend a huge, sincere thank you to everyone who chipped in ahead of our final FEC fundraising deadline of 2023. Halfway through my first term, we needed a big show of strength heading into the election year. And thanks to you, we know we have the grassroots energy to hold IL-17.
Your support couldn't have come at a better time. We’ve just finished a year where the Republican-led House chose the most hateful Speaker in history who has pledged to make me a top target this cycle. In fact, while most of us were celebrating with loved ones over the holiday, the NRCC was busy tweeting out baseless “insults” about me.
For our part, we’re tuning out the noise and staying focused on delivering for this community, and I’m humbled to know that grassroots supporters have consistently come through for us when we needed it most.
Thanks for standing with us during this trailblazing first year in Congress. I look forward to our next two years in Congress and beyond.
