Happy New Year, John!

We are only a few days into 2024 and we already know the year will have plenty of twists and turns. The Iowa caucuses are in 12 days, the Iowa legislative session starts on Monday, and we only have 3 days left to reach our pre-session fundraising goal.

Back in December we set a goal to raise $9,978 before the start of the Iowa legislative session on January 8th, 2024. But we are still $5,502 from our goal. Can I count on you to chip in $11 to help us reach our goal before Sunday?

This is a new year, and a new chance for us to fight for Iowans, our families, and our democracy. Turn on the local news and you'll hear the poison and vitriol that Republicans are spewing at one another, now imagine what it will look like in October when their attention is directed at the rest of us, it's not a pretty picture.

We cannot sit by and watch as Republican extremists attack abortion rights, public schools, and our democracy. We have to stand up for our friends, families, and neighbors, we have to stand up for what's right.

I am the only Democrat from Northwest Iowa in the Iowa state legislature, and Republican Governor Kim Reynolds won our district by 10 points in 2022, so we need all the help we can get.

We have to build a grassroots movement today if our community is going to have the representation it deserves. So can I count on you to chip in today and commit to protecting our rights and our democracy in 2024?
