** Language barriers won't stop us from filling out the 2020 Census.
------------------------------------------------------------
It's finally here- the U.S. Census is now live! Between March 12 - 20, every household will receive a letter from the Census Bureau with detailed directions on how to complete the survey online, over the phone, or in person. Keep an eye on your mailbox. You should respond to the Census as soon as you receive your invitation. Does a family member or someone you know predominately speak a language other than English? Make sure they're counted.

** The Census is translated in 12 languages.
------------------------------------------------------------
This year's online form ([link removed]) is available in Arabic, Spanish, Chinese*, Vietnamese, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Polish, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Japanese. Families can now complete the Census over the phone in these languages. Additionally, the Census has resources translated ([link removed]) into 59 non-English languages to help individuals who speak other languages be counted.

Our nation is diverse. This year's Census is available in the most commonly spoken languages in order for us to get an accurate picture of our communities. From education and health care to representation in Congress, an undercount would hurt Michigan and take vital resources away from those in need. We need to do our part to make sure everyone is counted, including removing language barriers so non-English speakers can have their voices heard.

** Need computer or internet access?
------------------------------------------------------------
Do you or someone you know need a computer or internet access? We're here to help. Stop by an ACCESS facility ([link removed]) and use our tools to help you successfully complete the survey. Members of our staff will also be available to answer your questions.

Our communities have a lot to lose if they are not counted in 2020. While we must do our part to ensure everyone can participate in the Census, a full and accurate count ultimately starts with you. Stand up for Arab American communities by taking the pledge to be counted in April!
*Simplified Chinese for online questionnaire; both Mandarin and Cantonese for phone support/response and advertising; and Simplified and Traditional Chinese for promotional materials and print ads.
