I hope your holidays were restful if you celebrated, your new year is off to a strong energized start, and that you remembered how your job worked when you got back (I sort of did.)
First things first: this Friday, January 5th is the deadline to sign up for VAYD's Lobby Day in Richmond! Please consider joining us and the other Young Dems in Richmond on Monday the 15th (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) to weigh in on the legislation coming up this session and learn about how we get things done around here. There's plenty of space, and we'd love to have you, so sign up at this link!
Also, the Arlington Dems are looking for precinct captains! These roles are central to organizing our ground game and making sure every community in Arlington is getting the information and resources they need to turn out at the polls. As you'll be hearing plenty in the coming months, 2024 is a vital election year, so if you want to help the Dems keep these victories coming (and get to know your community better in the process) fill out this form and Precinct Ops will be in touch! This is a particularly good chance for Young Dems to make an impact in the party and lend unique local insight, so I highly recommend reaching out if this sounds like a good fit for you.
And finally a last-minute reminder to come to the ArlDems Reorg meeting tonight at 7:00 PM at the Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary School to vote for precinct captains and officer positions! If you registered, you'll receive your ballot when you arrive. I'll be there running the Zoom computers like always so I hope to see you (Come say hi!).
