First of all, I'd like to wish you and yours a Happy New Year. I hope you get some time to relax and reflect, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy some well-deserved time off after a long year.

I'd also like to say THANK YOU.

You are an essential part of this team. Your involvement means a lot not only to me personally, but also to the success of our campaign.

I know we sent a lot of fundraising requests before our important FEC deadline. And that is because it is contributions from people like you that make this campaign possible. I don’t take corporate PAC money – so it really will come down to people like you funding this campaign.

Soon we will file our official FEC report where every campaign has to announce how much money we've raised as well as how many contributions our campaign has received.

I hope the numbers we report will make you proud to be a part of this grassroots team. Because there is only one way we are going to have the resources to defend this Senate seat, and that is from lots of people contributing what they can.

This FEC fundraising deadline was a very big moment for our campaign. As you know, the Michigan Senate race is going to be one of the most competitive in the entire country. There are four credible candidates running on the Republican side, and we need to be ready to face any one of them in November. And once our fundraising numbers become public, both our allies and our opponents are going to look at them to determine whether we are building the kind of campaign that can hold onto this Senate seat for Democrats.

I am very heartened by the level of support this campaign has received so far. What we are doing is showing that when we come together around a vision for passionate, pragmatic leadership in Washington, we can achieve incredible things.

Once again, I am extremely thankful that you are a part of this team.

I'm excited to start a new chapter in 2024, and even more excited that we get to do it together.
