| Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's (R) Friday veto of a bill to protect children from the harmful effects of gender transition procedures has conservatives everywhere scratching their heads. Although the governor tried to explain himself, his remarks did not leave his hearers any better informed. His comments sounded conservative at first blush, but in reality, they echoed the narratives promoted by the Left and, on this issue specifically, their allies in children's hospitals. |

| Only 3.4% of Journalists Are Republican: Study |

| A survey has found that only 3.4% of American journalists identify as Republican, compared to 36.4% who identify as Democrat and 51.7% as Independent. The survey also indicated a steep decline in the number of Republican journalists over the last several decades, which has coincided with record high levels of Americans saying they do not trust the media. |

That July, which Cubans refer to as 11J, activists linked to a Facebook group called Archipielago had requested authorization through letters to several provincial governments to hold a demonstration. They wanted to condemn violence and demand the release of political prisoners, respect for the rights of Cubans, and the resolution of political differences through democratic and peaceful means. |
