ACLU supporter –

Over the past few weeks, we've heard from many Wisconsinites concerned about the potential impact of COVID-19 on their loved-ones in jails and prisons.

People confined in close quarters are especially vulnerable to the coronavirus, and we're calling on the governor and other elected officials to institute sweeping measures to protect people involved in the criminal legal system from the harms of this disease.

Along with widespread disruptions to daily life, we know this unprecedented crisis is provoking a great deal of fear and anxiety, especially among vulnerable communities.

That's why we hope you'll join us for a virtual town hall on COVID-19. We'll talk about what incarcerated people and their loved ones need to know about this virus, and the actions we all can take right now to protect civil and human rights in Wisconsin. There will be national and local ACLU experts as well as an M.D. to facilitate the town hall. Join us on your computer or phone from the comfort of your home.

Throughout this crisis, we are remaining vigilant against attempts to unnecessarily infringe on civil liberties and committed to holding the government accountable for keeping Wisconsin both safe and free during this crisis.

We're all in this together – and we won't stand by while any Wisconsinite gets left behind.

We look forward to seeing you there,

ACLU of Wisconsin
