DFA-endorsed Marie Newman beat anti-choice Democratic Congressman Dan
Lipinski in the Illinois Democratic primary.

This is a tremendous victory for progressives and everyone across this
country who believes the Democratic party should be unequivocal in its
support for abortion rights, LGBTQ equality, and the fight for economic
justice.

The people of Illinois’s 3rd Congressional District will finally have
someone fighting for them in Congress that believes in their fundamental
human rights.

That’s all thanks to the power of our grassroots movement working across
this country to demand change and defeat the corporate interests who have
captured our democracy for too long.
