Dear A.,

A senior leader of Hamas, Saleh al-Arouri, was killed today in a drone strike in Lebanon along with two other senior Hamas commanders.

Arouri oversaw the terror group’s operations in the West Bank and was one of the main architects of the October 7 massacre.

Arouri was also

wanted by the U.S. State Department and was labeled as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, having served as one of Hamas’ primary liaisons to Hezbollah and to the Iranian regime. In 2014, he directed Hamas’ brutal abduction and murder of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank.

Arouri with Qassem Soleimani, former commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Arouri and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh meet with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in November 2023.

Israel is on high alert in anticipation of a response from Hamas and Hezbollah, with Israeli police

instructed to prepare for rockets as well as infiltrations into Israeli territory.

In November, Benny Gantz declared that "There will be no sanctuary cities, no sanctuary houses. We will go wherever we need to in order to eradicate child murderers — above and below ground, in Gaza and around the world."

Today’s surgical strike comes as Israel presses forward with its operation in Gaza to destroy Hamas' capabilities, drive Hamas from power in Gaza, and free all the hostages.

The IDF published

new footage today of Israeli troops battling Hamas in Khan Younis, where many terrorists have been killed in close quarter combat.

"We have seen the Hamas machine beginning to crack," said Mark Regev, senior advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "We're seeing more and more Hamas terrorists come out and surrender. We're destroying the tunnels there. We have taken out senior commanders there…We have to be patient. But this is a war that we will win."

Biden administration approves emergency weapons sale to Israel

On Friday, the State Department approved a new sale of emergency munitions to Israel worth an estimated $147.5 million. This is another powerful message of American support for Israel, and comes just weeks after the Biden administration approved a sale of tank ammunition to Israel worth $106.5 million.

"The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to U.S. national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability," the State Department said in a

statement , adding that the sale "is consistent with those objectives."

U.S. Navy sinks Houthi attack boats in Red Sea

Over the weekend, Iranian-backed Houthis fired on U.S. Navy helicopters deployed to help secure a container ship in the Red Sea. The Navy took decisive action and

sunk three Houthi boats , killing the terrorists on board.

"We couldn’t believe that degree of cruelty."

Hostages who have been freed from Hamas captivity are

facing a long road of rehabilitation , after enduring weeks of sexual abuse, mental trauma, and heavy medication.

"At first when they came back, they seemed very happy and relieved. And we were also very optimistic,"

said Renana Eitan , a leading psychiatrist in Israel, "but after a day or two, we saw the other side and we realized that they have severe nightmares, they have intrusive memories, they are very, very frightened."

129 hostages who were abducted 87 days ago are still held captive by Hamas.

Urge Congress to pass the $14.3 billion emergency package

America must continue to stand with Israel. When Congress returns next week, it is critical that it works quickly to pass the $14.3 billion emergency aid package requested by President Biden.

This funding is vital to ensuring Israel has the resources it needs to win this war and protect its people. But it won’t happen without a fight from the anti-Israel squad in Congress.

Senator Bernie Sanders indicated today that he intends to push an anti-Israel resolution — potentially as soon as Monday — to add political conditions on the aid.

Email your Senators and House member today and urge them to pass this vital funding, without added conditions, when they return to Washington.
