[ stdin# ]Women’s March

John,

It started in 2017.

In the wake of Donald Trump’s inauguration, women and allies across the
country – and across the globe – took to the streets.

[1]Overhead image of thousands of people marching, most wearing pink.

We showed up to say that a democracy where a man who brags about grabbing
women by their p*ssies – a man who lies, cheats, and loses the popular
vote – becomes president is a fundamentally broken democracy.

We took to the streets not just to demand change, but to be the change.

And in 2018, we were.

We organized in our communities. We contributed to mutual aid groups
supporting families ripped apart by the Trump administration. We protested
travel bans. We signed up to run for office in our communities. We
volunteered for candidates running to be change-makers. And we voted.

Not only did Democrats take back the House by electing a historic number
of women, but women also shattered glass ceilings up and down the ballot.

In 2020, we refused to take our progress for granted. We worked even
harder. And we voted that motherf*cker out of office.

Fast-forward to the consequential 2022 midterm elections.

A stolen Supreme Court majority told us we don’t have autonomy over our
own bodies. The economic crises emerging from a multi-year pandemic
continued to make the racial and economic disparities in our communities
worse while billionaire men only got richer. State legislators introduced
homophobic and transphobic legislation.

We mobilized all year to defend our fundamental freedoms, and we saw women
turn out and abortion win.

In 2023, we took the fight to the states, as right-wing forces across the
country issued challenge on top of challenge to our bodily autonomy and
the ability for us, our families, and our communities to live whole
lives.

But John,
our work isn’t done. Defeating Donald Trump (again) starts now.

Republicans remain determined to roll back access to the ballot box,
revoke marriage equality and endanger LGBTQ+ Americans, ban abortion
nationwide, restrict contraception access, and interfere with our
democratic process to keep their party in power.

Our mission is to END the fascist, far-right movement Trump inspired and
secure our democracy and fundamental freedoms for future generations – and
it relies on grassroots supporters like you.

With NINE STATES poised to take on abortion-related ballot initiatives
this year,  and abortion access being a core issue in election fights
across the country, we must shore up our forces for the fight ahead. The
only way for us to win is TOGETHER. Join us to kick off a year of fighting
for our freedoms during our weekend of action, January 19-21. March,
canvass, host a house party, STEP IN in whatever way you can.

Because we need you to win.

Together,

Women's March
