I hope you had a wonderful holiday and celebrated the new year with high spirits! I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the MLK parade, and I would like to invite you to join me.
On Monday morning, January 15th, please consider joining me and other DC Council members to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We will be meeting at 10:30 am in Congress Heights for a march along Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, which will end in Historic Anacostia at the newly named Marion Barry Avenue (formerly Good Hope Road). We recommend wearing gloves and comfortable shoes and feel free to wear purple if you'd like.

As a bonus, by January 15th, we plan to have the nominating petitions for my At Large reelection campaign. You'll have a chance to sign my petition and, if you'd like, to take a couple of pages with you to have friends and family sign.
