We’re days away from the three year anniversary of the insurrection at the Capitol, and The Washington Post just released an alarming poll.

'Republicans loyalty to Jan 6th rioters climbs after 3 years'

After Trump’s supporters and staff coordinated and strategized for months to subvert the will of the people, after they attacked honorable elections officials and worked to steal votes, after they led an attack at the Capitol that left three dead and hundreds injured — the GOP is more loyal to Trump.

Fewer Republicans say Trump bears responsibility for the attack than ever before:

Fewer say the insurrectionists were violent:

'Fewer Republicans say rioters were mostly violent'

And less than a third of Republicans think the 2020 election was legitimate:

This is concerning news for all of us, and it reinforces something we have been saying for months.

The 2024 election isn’t just about holding the Senate or defeating Trump. It is about the future of our democracy itself.
