Hello,

As president, Trump is supposed to lead the nation through any crises. He seems to be doing quite the opposite.

At his press conference on Friday, Trump shook hands with several officials and business leaders present -- a clear breach of public health recommendations -- as he declared a national emergency.

According to POLITICO, "For six weeks behind the scenes, and now increasingly in public, Trump has undermined his administration's own efforts to fight the coronavirus outbreak." He has repeatedly (and falsely) claimed there was an abundance of tests and testing facilities, misleading Americans who are desperate for any good news.

These lies delayed states' responses and slowed containment efforts, possibly infecting thousands more. And because of the president's lies, now people are distrustful of health officials at exactly the wrong time -- when we need to be working together in every possible way to flatten the curve.

Collectively we must work together to bring this outbreak to a swift end. While we're doing that, we need to know where our community stands TODAY on this administration's response:
