Current and former U.S. service members are demanding military leaders be held accountable for enabling “lawlessness and the unwilling experimentation” on service members when they forced troops to receive experimental COVID-19 vaccines.
In a letter [ [link removed] ] dated Jan. 1, 2024, more than 230 service members wrote a letter to the American people on behalf of hundreds of thousands of troops, promising to do everything “morally permissible and legally possible” to hold military leadership accountable for breaking laws in imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates and ignoring resulting injuries.
“While implementing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, military leaders broke the law, trampled constitutional rights, denied informed consent, permitted unwilling medical experimentation, and suppressed the free exercise of religion,” the letter states.
“Service members and families were significantly harmed by these actions. Their suffering continues to be felt financially, emotionally, and physically. Some service members became part of our ever-growing veteran homeless population, some
developed debilitating vaccine injuries, and some even lost their lives. In an apparent attempt to avoid accountability, military leaders are continuing to ignore our communications regarding these injuries and the laws that were broken.”
The signatories said they will do everything “morally permissible and legally possible” to hold leadership accountable so that leaders cannot ignore constitutional rights in the name of political expediency.
Military members plan to run for Congress in the upcoming year and seek appointments within the executive branch. Those who remain on active duty have said they will not put rank and position over fulfilling their oaths.
The signatories have also pledged to recall military leaders from retirement who allegedly broke the law to convene court-martial for various crimes. A court-martial is the military's highest-level trial court established to try members of the armed forces for offenses committed under military law.
For military members who achieve legislative roles, the signatories pledged to introduce legislation to remove the retirement income of those “criminally complicit.”
“This endeavor will be a continuous process with a long-term time horizon, but fulfilling our oaths to defend the Constitution requires just such persistent vigilance,” the authors wrote.
“While all good things come to an end, we refuse to allow our nation to go quietly into the depths of decadence and decay. We promise to exhaust all moral, ethical, and legal means to restore the rule of law and will begin by attempting to hold senior military leaders accountable,” they added.
Those in positions of senior leadership—and named in the letter—included Gen. Mark A. Milley, Adm. Christopher W. Grady, Gen. James McConville, Adm. Michael Gilday, Adm. William Lescher, Gen. Charles Brown, Gen. Berger, Gen. Eric Smith, Vice Adm. James Kilby, Vice Adm. John Nowell, Vice Adm. John Fuller, Lt. Gen. Donna Martin, Lt. Gen. Stephen Davis, Major Gen. Robert Edmonson, GEN Williams, Adm. Fagan, Vice Adm. Buck, Lt. Gen. Clark, Major Gen. Francis, Lt. Gen. Dingle, Lt. Gen. Miller, Rear Adm. Bruce Gillingham.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the first COVID-19 vaccine on December 14, 2020, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, on Aug. 24, 2021, issued a memorandum [ [link removed] ] mandating all service members get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Those who did not receive a COVID-19 vaccine without an approved medical or religious exemption were disciplined or removed from the military. Numerous lawsuits ensued within the various military branches over the refusal to grant vaccine exemptions.
In June 2022, data from whistleblowers—who would face perjury charges if they submitted false statements to the court in legal cases then pending against the Department of Defense (DOD)—came forward with data from the Defense Medical Epidemiology Database [ [link removed] ] (DMED) showing significant increases in registered medical diagnoses in 2021 following the issuance of the DOD’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
For example, data show miscarriages increased by 300% in 2021 over the previous five-year average, cancer increased by 300%, and neurological disorders increased by 1,000% in 2021 over the past five-year average — increasing from 82,000 to 863,000 in one year.
Other conditions that skyrocketed over the same period included:
Hypertension: 2,181% increase.
Diseases of the nervous system: 1,048% increase.
Malignant neoplasms of the esophagus: 894% increase.
Multiple sclerosis: 680% increase.
Malignant neoplasms of digestive organs: 624% increase.
Guillain–Barré syndrome: 551% increase.
Breast cancer: 487% increase.
Demyelinating: 487% increase.
Malignant neoplasms of thyroid and other endocrine glands: 474% increase.
Female infertility: 472% increase.
Pulmonary embolism: 468% increase.
Migraines: 452% increase.
Ovarian dysfunction: 437% increase.
Testicular cancer: 369% increase.
Tachycardia: 302% increase.
In addition to an increase in the above conditions, DMED data showed registered diagnoses of myocarditis—a type of heart damage associated with COVID-19 vaccines—had been scrubbed from the database. Shortly thereafter, evidence was presented showing the DOD doctored the DMED data to conceal cases of myocarditis among service members vaccinated against COVID-19.
U.S. military members, by their nature, were easy targets for COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Those who were injured have not been acknowledged or received compensation for their injuries.
