Dear Friend,
Over the past few weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has greatly affected our lives, and I recognize that this is a challenging time. I want to assure you that the ASPCA continues to prioritize the health and safety of our employees, clients and the animals in our care. We want to stress there is no current evidence that suggests the coronavirus can be transmitted to or from companion animals. We have been taking necessary measures to mitigate concerns around public interaction by suspending select client services throughout New York City, Los Angeles and Miami.
Although we are limiting services in some capacity,

the work doesn't stop. There are still hundreds of animals in our care—at our Adoption Center and Animal Hospital, in our behavioral rehabilitation programs and kitten nursery—who will continue to receive the same level of service from our dedicated staff; albeit with added safety measures.
As we shift our resources to account for these operational changes, I'd like to thank our members who continually support the lifesaving work we do. We can only be prepared for emergency situations like this with the help of dedicated supporters like you.
But times now are uncertain, and we’re unsure of what tomorrow will bring.
