Exploring Walking as a Means to Vitality, Disease Prevention, and Self-Empowerment

Walking does more than meets the eye. Research supports positive data highlighting health impacts, including but not limited to cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, and mental health. You don’t have to walk fast, but if you can stroll briskly, it’s even more beneficial. This aerobic exercise is accessible for all ages, able-bodied enough to walk.

Nitrates and Nitrites: Synthetic and Naturally-Occurring Chemical Compounds Added to Processed Meats

Processed meats, such as bacon, salami, and beef jerky go through a process called “curing,” to ensure freshness and prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. Adding nitrates/nitrites to the procedure is typical, and comes with health risks, even when they are “naturally-occurring.”
