Curbside Christmas Tree Collection in January [ [link removed] ]

Although the holidays may be over, you can still make use of your live holiday greenery. The Prince William County Landfill and the Compost Facility offer a service processing Christmas trees and other greenery into mulch and compost. If you have curbside yard waste collection, you can set your trees and greenery at the curb for collection during the first two weeks of January. For those without curbside collection, you can take your trees to the Prince William County Landfill, Compost Facility or Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative for recycling.

The theme of the event is "Freedom, Equality and Justice for All" and will include the annual presentation of the Human Rights Awards given to members of the community who provide unique contributions to human and civil rights in Prince William County.

Personal property tax due January 3, 2024 [ [link removed] ]
Vehicle Personal Property Taxes Due January 3 [ [link removed] ]

Prince William County Personal Property taxes for 2023 are due on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024. If you have not received a tax bill, contact the Taxpayer Services Office at 703-792-6710 or by email at [email protected]. Office and Call Center hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Office hours will be extended to 6 p.m. on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3. To pay online, visit: [link removed]. In September 2023, the Board of County Supervisors unanimously voted to extend the due date for the vehicle classification of tangible personal property from Oct. 5, 2023, to Jan. 3, 2024, to provide temporary relief to taxpayers by providing additional time to accumulate funds for the payment.
