As soon as I saw the footage in the video below, it gave me a feeling I think we all share. That feeling of being deeply connected to the incredible world around us – and fiercely wanting to protect it.

Now, as we head into 2024, that feeling that unites us will be needed more than ever.

We have to make this a HUGE year for our planet. And, with your help:

- Through our Project Climate Vote campaign, we’re aiming to recruit one million climate voters and put climate and nature at the centre of the election – and we need you to be part of it.
- With the Global Plastic Treaty negotiations ramping up, we have to keep pushing for another vital international agreement - this time to finally end the age of plastic pollution.
- With Shell suing Greenpeace to silence us from exposing their climate crimes, we need you to help fund our court case, so we can hold Shell to account and make polluters pay.
- To protect our global oceans and forests, we need to keep working alongside Indigenous Peoples to target the companies and politicians willing to sacrifice our seas, seabeds and woodlands for profit.
- And, led by our scientists and investigators, we have to keep standing up for truth - inspiring even more people around the world to push for green, affordable solutions that keep people and planet safe.

Each day, when I come to work, I’m powered by the thought of passionate supporters like you.

I can’t thank you enough for giving your time, money, voice and energy to the causes we both care about. You inspire everything we do.

And I hope you’ll face this new year filled with hope. The same hope you felt when you first started your journey with Greenpeace.

Our worldwide movement is made of millions of hopeful people - young and old - who chose, one day, to act.

Millions of people who know that, by acting together, we can keep our fragile planet safe.

In 2024, that’s exactly what we’ll do.
