This is a campaign powered by small-dollar donations and we are almost surely going to receive considerably more grassroots donations than Susan Collins does during this reporting period.

But there's a chance we'll be outraised. And that's because Susan Collins is relying almost exclusively on big donations from special interests, and our average donation is much smaller than hers.

If we want to make sure that doesn't happen, we have two choices: either we generate even more donations, or donations we receive have to be slightly larger.
