Dear Subscriber,

The Coronavirus story is new and scary. But the people it is likely to affect most are those with lower incomes, the homeless, the undocumented, senior citizens, and that's nothing new. That's the story City Limits was founded to tell, and to provide readers with the knowledge and resources to solve.

In this moment of crisis, City Limits is devoting all its resources to covering how COVID-19 is affecting the most vulnerable in our city. We're working on stories such as:
* how senior center visitors will survive not having that daily resource
* the role that delivery workers--many of them low-income immigrants--are playing in keeping the city afloat
* how the federal and state governments can step in to help keep at-risk New Yorkers afloat
* resources for parents trying to keep their kids happy, health and learning in the absence of schools

We're using our Voices of New York section to elevate reportage in the ethnic press. Our Spanish-language site, Una Ciudad sin Limites, is chasing down the story of how Latino New York is faring. Alumni of our CLARIFY youth training program will be given a chance to report on how this event is affecting their generation.

Someday, and hopefully soon, this crisis will pass. But those deeper vulnerabilities in our most marginalized communities will remain. Whether City Limits will be here to cover those stories––now or later––depends on you. ([link removed][UNIQID])

Thank you for being with us to ensure we are here for the people who are always on the knife edge in this city we love.

Yours,

Jarrett Murphy
Executive Editor
