Friends,
For many in-home care workers, nannies, and house cleaners the threat from
Coronavirus is especially severe.
During these unexpected times, we need to take care of the people who care
for us and our loved ones.
Without access to health care, paid sick leave, or job security, these
workers are being forced to navigate this crisis alone — without a safety
net.
Slowing the spread of the Coronavirus requires most of us to stay home,
but many workers cannot. We can help domestic workers and all of us stay
safe by donating to the Coronavirus Care Fund which will provide funding
for paid leave so that workers can care for themselves or loved ones. It
will also provide domestic workers, who've reported trouble purchasing
supplies, gain access to cleaning agents.
The money you donate to the Coronavirus Care Fund will provide immediate
financial support for our nation’s domestic workers, and enable them to
stay home and healthy if they need to in order to slow the spread of the
Coronavirus.

There is no question that this pandemic is stretching our health care
system and our economy, but it’s important we all do our part now to slow
the spread of the virus.
To all of our nation’s domestic workers, health care workers, and first
responders fighting on the front lines of this pandemic: thank you.
We are forever grateful for your hard work and sacrifice.
Remember to be kind and supportive in the days and weeks ahead. Reach out
to a neighbor, check on your friends and family, and if you can stay home.
We will get through this together.
My very best,
- Kamala
