Holiday Closures
The Library is closed on Monday, January 1 for New Year?s Day. The Library will reopen at our usual time, Tuesday, January 2, at 10:00 a.m.

Family Fun Night: Bingo for Books
Tuesday, January 2, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Gather the whole family on the first Tuesday of the month to have a grand ol' time at the Library! We'll provide light refreshments and plenty of fun! This month, we're playing Bingo for Books.
Brown Bag Book Club
Thursday, January 4, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Do you like books? Do you want to talk about it? Join us in the Reading Alcove at noon on the first Thursday of every month for Brown Bag Book Club! For January, we're discussing our favorite books we read in 2023. For February, we're reading "Memphis" by Tara M. Stringfellow.
Y is for Yoga Story Time
Friday, January 5, 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Stretch your mind and body by pairing stories with movement. Best for children ages 3-6 and a caregiver. Bring a yoga mat or towel.
Train Car Creations & Train Car Parade
Tuesday, January 9 & Thursday, January 11, 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Join us to create kid-sized train cars. We provide the boxes and craft supplies, and you supply the imagination! Afterward, parade your creation in the Train Car Parade on Saturday, January 13, at 11:00 a.m. Open to children of all ages.
Books & Bricks Storytime
Friday, January 12, 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.
Join us for a fun read-aloud followed by time to create something connected to the story from Duplo bricks. Best for ages 18 months to 3 years and a caregiver.
Texas Bluebonnet Award Book Club
Tuesday, January 16, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Dig deep into this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award list. Caregivers and children in grades 3-6 will read one chapter book on the Bluebonnet Award list each month. We'll meet on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss it! Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required. Please call 817-788-7302 to sign up. For January, we will be reading "Odder" by Katherine Applegate. For February, we will be reading "A Rover's Story" by Jasmine Warga.
Scrapbooking 101
Thursday, January 18, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Come scrap with us! All skill levels are welcome. We will have some starter scrapbooks available, but patrons are encouraged to bring their current scrapbooks. The Library will provide a variety of scrapping supplies, resources, and snacks! Open to Teens and Adults!

Are you in 3rd - 5th grade? Are you looking for an after-school adventure? Look no further, my dear Watson, It?s Elementary! It?s Elementary: Get Crafty is the 1st and 3rd Thursdays after school from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Learning Center. It?s Elementary: Get Moving is the 2nd and 4th Thursdays after school from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in Program Room East.
