You should be proud.
At beginning of another year, I know passionate champions like you are already looking ahead to see what more we can accomplish for economic justice in 2024.
But I want to take a moment to appreciate what we’ve accomplished together in 2023 — because, [[link removed]] John, we should be proud of our hard-won achievements across the entire country.
We brought federal Baby Bonds legislation — the powerful policy innovation that can one day give every child $18,000 to their name by the time they turn 18 — even closer to fruition. We launched a pilot program to empower women entrepreneurs of color. We equipped underserved communities with tax preparation services rooted in equity and fairness. And we continue to expand our growth and reach through our signature events, such as VitaCon and Camp Prosperity, bringing together leaders working across the country to ensure everyone has a clear path to financial stability.
And 2024 is starting off strong! We are thrilled to welcome our new president and CEO, Marisa Calderon. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization, and we are thrilled to have her on board. I know that her leadership will carry Prosperity Now forward for racial and ethnic economic justice thanks to her dedication and passion.
