Well John,

I’m thinking about the year ahead and everything we have to do here in Georgia to safeguard our democracy.

It may seem out of the blue, but I keep thinking about what my friend Jamie Raskin said when asked about Kevin McCarthy leaving Congress: “He did nothing for this country or his Constitution at its moment of crisis.”

I don’t know what’s going to happen in 2024. But I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that we don’t elect a self-proclaimed dictator who has already tried to subvert the will of voters and thwart the peaceful transfer of power.

I’m fortunate enough to be in a place where what we do in the next few months will have huge consequences for the entire nation. And no way am I backing down from the challenge.
