Dear John,

In these difficult and unusual times, the potential spread of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, is forcing organizations across the country to make difficult decisions on whether to move forward with conferences, events and in-person meetings. The Feminist Majority and NOW faced that same difficult choice regarding our upcoming joint conference, Fired Up—Ready to Vote!, scheduled for June 5-7, 2020 in Washington, DC.

This vital unique gathering of our grassroots memberships, activists, supporters, and allies in this important year provides an unparalleled opportunity to band together to celebrate the centennial of the right to vote for women, while also looking ahead to the most consequential election of our lifetimes.

We have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation and taking great care in deciding whether to postpone the conference. In consultation with our Boards and leadership we have concluded that it is our responsibility to postpone the conference. We will be announcing a new date as soon as possible.

The well-being of all of us is of the utmost importance and we want to be sure that all attendees can travel safely and without fear when the conference occurs. We understand that people need time to make travel arrangements and we will provide additional information as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience in this difficult time. We know that when we do all unite together in our nation’s capital we will be fired up and ready to change the world.
