We helped pass a ban on the sale and possession of assault weapons, the deadliest firearms on the market, making Washington the 10th state to ban the sale of these military-grade firearms across all of our communities.
We enacted a 10-day waiting period for all firearm purchases, giving families more time to consider the safety implications of gun ownership.
We created a pathway for victims of gun violence to sue gun dealers and manufacturers for their role in fueling the gun violence crisis.
We secured $30 million in funding for critical gun violence prevention programs, including education, intervention, and support for communities disproportionately impacted by gun violence.
