We’ve heard from many program managers that they're suspending services to protect the health and safety of staff, volunteers and clients. During yesterday's listening session, our Community shared with us one of its most pressing needs: finding other ways to continue to serve vulnerable families in its communities. As a response, we’ve created a Resource Page with tools for alternative tax preparation options. It is a living document, so please feel free to share additional resources as you identify them. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support you as we endure these hard times together. We’ll continue to advocate on behalf of programs, sites, volunteers, and the clients you serve. Our commitment to providing you with the resources you need remains our priority, and we are actively listening for other ways we can support you. In partnership, Rebecca M. Thompson, Project Director, Taxpayer Opportunity Network VITA Awareness Day Update: In light of recent developments with the coronavirus outbreak, with our focus being shifted away from VITA to maintaining our health and safety, we are suspending the #MyVITAStory online contest until further notice. You are encouraged to continue to identify, celebrate and collect stories from your all-star volunteers and clients as opportunities arise throughout the year. |
