This time next year, we’ll be closing out a historic election year – one that may be the most consequential of our lifetimes (at least so far).
I am genuinely optimistic about what we can get done in the 2024 elections. I believe we can re-elect President Biden and hold the Senate, and I am really optimistic about taking back the House.
Why so positive, you might ask?
It’s because I’ve seen firsthand what can be accomplished by a group of determined, passionate, perhaps even enraged, women.
We saw it in 2017 after Trump was first elected, in 2018 with the incredible nationwide blue wave, again in 2020, and of course, we saw it loud and clear in 2022 after the decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.
The evidence is clear: When women run, when women vote, when women donate, when women volunteer, when women ACT – Democrats win.
And luckily, we’ve got a LOT of great women who will be on the ballot, working and volunteering on campaign teams, and of course, hitting the polls in 2024!
To me, 2024 is the year of women defeating MAGA Republicans.
I’m going to do everything I can to defeat my own MAGA opponent (the guy who doesn’t believe in climate change and wants to ban and criminalize abortion), to support my fellow Democratic women who are running in their own tough races, and to continue building a community of women dedicated to taking ACTION to better our communities.
I hope you’re with me. It’s not going to be easy – so much of what really matters isn’t – but it’s going to be so, so worth it when we march to victory next November and show the entire world what we can do.
