Hey, everyone. Amidst all the end-of-year begging for cash, good news: we hit our end-of-year goal. All good. No more begging needed. Thanks to your support, I can spend New Year's Eve with my family and not on the phone. We’ll need to keep going in the new year, but our goal was real; we hit it; now we’re done for the year.

I knew it going in, but now I've experienced it firsthand: election spending in this country is terribly, terribly broken. Every candidate who isn't a self-funding millionaire is forced to spend too much time and effort with donors and too little with voters. If we succeed, I'll go to the Senate and do everything in my power to fix our broken campaign finance system, which benefits wealthy special interests, their favored politicians, campaign consultants, and no one else.
