Can we go a little deeper than just saying HAPPY NEW YEAR? Although I certainly pray that for you and all those who are connected to you.
But just for a moment, can we go a level deeper? For all of us who are going into 2024 with those who we entered into 2023 with…then truly, let us PRAISE THE LORD!!! And let us put in the work this year to take no one and no opportunity for granted.
Like many of you, I’ve lost important people in my life over the years - dear people, amazing people who wrote on the fabric of my life. I am who I am, in many regards, because of their existence. For so many of you who are entering 2024 with fewer people than you entered 2023 with, I sincerely pray for God’s peace to fill your heart and eyes. I pray that you can see above and beyond to those who are still with you on this day. I’ve learned that life is a series of choices, and this will be one of them.
A quick note:
I held my first of many, Zoom face times with several of you last night. It. was. awesome. My heart literally felt a little happier…a little lighter. It’s amazing how that works.
We are *not* alone, if we make that choice. In my line of work, I get to meet many people who are like us…who think like us and who are good people. My hope is to create more spaces like I did last night where we can connect, laugh, encourage, pray for one another…and know that we are not alone.
Again, my heart was made a little happier last night (…and who doesn’t need a little more ‘happy’). I will host another Zoom call soon. I hope to see you there.
